Dance for Wellbeing

Dance for Wellbeing is for everyone who wants to dance, specifically: people living with Parkinson’s, chronic pain, arthritis,  repetitive strain injury, chronic fatigue, multiple sclerosis, neurological conditions and other physical/mobility complaints, their carers, partners and friends.
Participants will learn choreographed dance and movement for physical health, wellbeing and a love of dance in a socially connected environment. No dance experience required, two left feet are welcome.

The class is an uplifting seated, supported and standing 1 hour, promoting health and wellbeing by encouraging movement to optimise mobility, physical and mental wellbeing. Regular movement and music can lift your spirits no matter your experience, mobility, or age.
Dancing together brings social connection, joy and creativity.

Dance for Wellbeing classes are created and facilitated by Kiri Morcombe, a professional artsworker with a BA in Dance (WSU) and Dance for Parkinson’s Introductory Training Dance for Parkinson’s Aus (led by Erica Rose Jeffrey | AUS and David Leventhal | USA who designed the Dance for PD program).
